CRMM Class - Northwest Twined Pouch
Northwest Twined Pouch
w/ Pat Courtney Gold
In this class, the participants will create a fun project. The pouch will be twined using northwest fibers: cedar bark, sedge and cattail leaves. Participants will learn how to soak, size, splice and twine plant fibers. A traditional folded-warp rim will finish the pouch, approximately 3.5 inches diameter and 4 inches tall. Some twining experience preferred.
Tools needed: awl, scissors, small plant pruners, measuring tape, spray bottle, kitchen-size plastic bag, towel and pocket knife. Optional: note paper, pencils, apron, baskets to share (option), band-aids, and/or embellishments: beads, small stones (rattle), shells, etc.
