SALTY Talks Lecture - Jetties - CPHM
It took over 50 years to build the immense jetties that define the mouth of the Columbia River. With over 3 million tons of stone moved to build the North Jetty alone, jetty construction had a profound impact on both the people and the landscape of our region. Learn about this impact and the fascinating history of jetty construction with local historian Gary Kobes at a SALTY Talks lecture, May 10th at 6:30pm at the Salt Hotel and Pub in Ilwaco. Come early for a bite and a brew.
