DESCRIPTION:The Astoria International Film Festival (AIFF) is an annual event\, running from October 25th to 27th at the Liberty Theater. This year they are also organizing a series of pop-up events at venues around town\, including Fort George Brewery on Friday\, November 1st.\n\n\n\nThe Blue Mouse Theater in the Lovell Building is back! Travel to 1921 with this Charlie Chaplin masterpiece "The Kid\," his very first full length film. Featuring Chaplin in his tramp role\, and a young Jackie Coogan as the kid\, this classic is considered one of the greatest films of the silent era.\n\n\n\nSpeaking of silence\, this event just happens to coincide with Waves of Silence: Dinghy and 1\,001 Years of Silence beer releases from Fort George. You'll be able to get cans of Waves of Silence starting Saturday\, November 2nd\, and bottles of the bourbon barrel aged spiced stout\, 1\,001 Years of Silence\, starting Saturday\, November 9th. So much silence!\n\n\n\nThe movie will be screened inside the Lovell Brewery. Enjoy live piano accompaniment by Liz Engelson. Listen to a brief history of the Lovell Building\, presented by Jack Harris. Plus stick around for a post-movie discussion led by the Astoria International Film Festival.\n\n\n\nRun time is just over an hour\, all ages are welcome\, and - as always - never a cover.
