Outstanding Service Awards Nomination Form

The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce recognizes outstanding community volunteers with two special annual awards.

George Award:
AWACC and the City of Astoria are proud to honor a local recipient for outstanding community service every year. The prestigious George Award recognizes someone who has consistently stepped forward to meet community needs, instead of “letting George do it.”

Richard Ford Distinguished Service Award:
Established by Richard Ford’s family to honor his exemplary service, this award, presented by the City of Warrenton & AWACC, recognizes a person who has devoted time and energy in countless ways to the community.

SUBMISSION DETAILS AND DEADLINES
Chamber members and the public are invited to nominate individuals for these recognitions. Please include details about the nominee’s community involvement and, if available, letters of support.

Nominations must be submitted by 12 p.m. on December 1. In addition to this online form, printed forms are available at the Chamber office in Astoria and at Warrenton City Hall in October and November.

Awards are given annually. This form accepts nominations year-round, but the selection committee meets in December, and the recognitions are presented at the Chamber’s annual banquet in late January.
