Caring for the Coast in Home Care
Job Description
Caring for the Coast is an in-home care agency that provide services to the elderly, helping keep them safe and independent in their own homes. We serve Clatsop and Tillamook Counties with our main office in Astoria.
We are hiring for part- and full-time positions.  We seek caregivers with flexibility in hours that include mornings, days, evenings, nights, and ESPECIALLY WEEKENDS! Shifts will vary based on your availability and skill set.
Job Duties include (not limited to):
  • companionship
  • light housekeeping
  • laundry
  • meal preparation
  • running errands/grocery shopping
  • driving clients to appointments
  • assisting with personal cares such as bathing, grooming, toileting
  • medication reminders or administration
Required Qualifications:
  • must be able to pass a criminal background check/drug test
  • must have driver’s license, CAR, and valid insurance
  • be over 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or GED
  • ability to bend, stoop, lift 20-30 lbs., stand for extended periods of time
  • excellent communication skills and attendance
  • be compassionate and caring
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CNA, MA, CPR, First Aid, AED
  • Hoyer experience
  • 6+ months of experience
  • Paid Sick Time
  • Health insurance eligible after 90 days (for those who work an average of 30 hours a week)

  • 90-day evaluations and annually thereafter
  • Mileage reimbursement for client related driving
