  • About

Astoria Productions has realized a dream of staging a world-class film festival on the northern Oregon coast: the Astoria International Film Festival*, an event that draws upon the outstanding talents of the northwest and the world, is becoming a magnet for international filmmakers.

Our mission is to attract and showcase the work of independent film and video artists and writers, and to provide workshops and seminars for students of film and the public.

The event draws upon the outstanding talents of the northwest and the world. It is a magnet for international filmmakers highlighting indigenous and cultural films. The 1920's vaudeville-style Liberty Theater in Astoria is a perfect venue for showcasing independent films from around the world.

This event serves as an excellent opportunity for filmmakers and the public to meet and learn from one another.

We invite you to join us in Astoria, Oregon for this event to support local and international talents.

Astoria, Oregon (one of the oldest white settlements west of the Rockies) is the perfect historical and cultural backdrop for this event, and the 1925 vaudeville-style Liberty Theater in Astoria serves as a centerpiece for the viewing of entries.

Part of the Astoria International Film Festival’s programming features regional filmmakers who highlight indigenous and regional cultures. In addition, a youth film festival is included.

The Astoria International Film Festival is an ideal venue for showcasing independent film from around the world, and is an important opportunity for filmmakers and their public to meet.
