Friends of Heritage Square invite you to join us in imagining what a Downtown Plaza can be not only for us as citizens, but for future generations of Astorian's. This space, bordered by Duane and Exchange Streets, and by 11th and 12th Streets, is a treasure waiting to be realized in the center of Astoria. Let’s begin to dream big and make it a reality!
The Citizens for Astoria Oregon, is a focused group of Astorians who have assembled to reignite the vision of Heritage Square as a public gathering place. Phase One was dedicated in 2014 with the completion of The Garden of Surging Waves. We have worked diligently the past 16 months to gather information about the possibilities and opportunities for a downtown plaza. The potential is enormous. Those who hold Astoria dear will enjoy the values this public space will reflect. All Astorians will recognize the legacy and foresight of those that dream big now, and take action.
