DESCRIPTION:June 19\, 2024 - As part of its community outreach\, the Astoria Lions Club is pleased to announce that it will partner with the Sunset Empire Amateur Radio Club (SEARC) at the Lion club's market space #140 (across from the Peace First Lutheran Church   12th & Exchange) at the July 7th Astoria Sunday Market.\n\n\n\nFrom 10 am to 3 pm\, volunteers will offer a wide variety of disaster preparedness and response literature as well as information related to how amateur radio (AKA Ham radio) plays a vital part in recovery operations after a disaster. Free disaster preparedness go-bags (containing prep information) have been provided by the Clatsop County Emergency Management Agency (CCEMA).
