SUMMARY:Lake Laconic Album Release Show
DESCRIPTION:Lake Laconic (Lake Jiroudek) will be celebrating the release of his first full album that has been years in the making. It's a group of songs that he wrote during his time in LA when he was playing gigs wherever he could with his brother Evan under "Innocent Alex" and teaching during the daytime. When covid hit\, lessons went online for Lake and he headed back to Cannon Beach\, OR\, his hometown\, where he recorded all these songs in the family studio. Soon enough\, Lake moved to Astoria and found an amazing crew of like minded and supportive artists who quickly helped propel his music forward. He had the chance to play with local musicians like Nevada Sowle\, Olaf Ydstie\, opening for the Hackles and Blind Pilot\, playing guitar with Jeremy James Meyer and Bart Budwig\, and going on tours on the east coast and south with old college buddies from his time at Juilliard. Finally\, after years of recording\, waiting\, mixing\, mastering\, getting art and everything else in place\, Lake Laconic is debuting the release of his self titled album at The Ten Fifteen Theater. \n\n\n\nPlaying the first set will be Weezy Ford who is a brilliant songwriter based out of the Columbia River Gorge where her partner\, Mark Robertson\, and her create beautiful music together and grow vegetables. Her latest album "In the Movement" is a perfect example of her capacity as a songwriter and the musical sensibility Mark brings to her music\, having engineered and played bass on it. \n\n\n\nCD's and Coffee Mugs featuring Carson Thomas' artwork will be available for purchase at the show. Plus\, a special and fun introduction to loosen the night up will be given by Ed Hawkins.
