SUMMARY:NCWC Battle Reenactment
DESCRIPTION:The Northwest Civil War Council (NCWC) is a non-profit organization made up of people who share a strong interest in the American Civil War. They believe that this conflict\, as savage and tragic as it was\, still represents the center- piece of our history and has important effects for us as a people even in the 21st century.\n\n\n\n We try to demonstrate - in the most accurate ways possible - both the military and civilian lives of Americans during the mid-19th century. We show battles and tactics with all branches of service represented (infantry\, cavalry and artillery). After the battles there are medical demonstrations to help the public understand the terrible aftermath of a war that took the lives of over 620\,000 American citizens.\n\n\n\nVisitors can also visit the camps to see and touch how the soldiers lived. But there is so much more. Civilian life is also portrayed in the fashions\, cooking\, music\, dances\, secular and spiritual life and many other ways.\n\n\n\nCome and join us and see who we are\, what we do\, and share our passion for this critical era.\n\n \nCHECK US OUT ON FACEBOOK AT NORTHWEST CIVIL WAR COUNCIL PUBLIC PAGE\n\n\n\nSATURDAY 9/4 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\n\n \n\n9 am Camps Open\n\n10 am Flags of the Civil War - Bleachers\n\n10:30 am Cavalry Warmups - Battlefield\n\n10:30 am Parlor Talk - Maryland Line (Confederate Camp)\n\n11 am Morning Battle - Battlefield\n\n12 pm Artillery Demonstration - Battlefield\n\n12:30 pm Medical Demonstration - Union Aid Station 69th NY(Union Civilian Camp)\n\n1:15 pm Fashion Show - Bleachers\n\n2 pm General Grant and the War - Bleachers\n\n3 pm Afternoon Battle - Battlefield\n\n4 pm Musical Guest: Bill Coleman - Community Fly\n\n5 pm Camps Closed to the Public\n\n \n\n \n\nSUNDAY 9/5 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.\n\n \n\n9 am Camps Open\n\n9:15 am Joint Church Service - Church Fly\n\n10:20 am Flags of the Civil War - Bleachers\n\n10:30 am Cavalry Warmups - Battlefield\n\n10:30 am Parlor Talk - Maryland Line (Confederate Camp)\n\n11 am Morning Battle - Battlefield\n\n12 pm Artillery Demonstration - Battlefield\n\n12:30 pm Medical Demonstration - Union Aid Station 69th NY(Union Civilian Camp)\n\n1:15 pm Fashion Show - Bleachers\n\n2 pm General Grant and the War - Bleachers\n\n3 pm Afternoon Battle - Battlefield\n\n4 pm Musical Guest: Bill Coleman - Community Fly\n\n5 pm Camps Closed to the Public\n\n \n\n \n\nMONDAY 9/6 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.\n\n \n\n9 am Camps Open\n\n10 am Flags of the Civil War - Bleachers\n\n10:30 am Cavalry Warmups - Battlefield\n\n10:30 am Parlor Talk - Maryland Line (Confederate Camp)\n\n11 am Medical Demonstration - Union Aid Station 69th NY(Union Civilian Camp)\n\n12 pm Fashion Show - Bleachers\n\n1 pm Afternoon Battle - Battlefield\n\n2 pm Camps Closed to the Public
