2026 Creative Writing Festival

The Writers Guild’s annual Creative Writing Festival is a three-day writing festival filled with writing workshops, readings, and more located in the center of the beautiful and historic Astoria, Oregon. Past keynote presenters include Karl Marlantes and Ellen Waterston. 2026 features local and regional presenters including renowned poet and essayist, Tess Gallagher. This weekend-long event provides an inspiring and generative weekend for our coastal community and surrounding areas.
