This seven-session class is taught by a retired therapist and covers many types of grief. We tend to focus on death as being the primary reason for grief, but loss of relationships, divorce, illness, family feuds, natural disasters, civil unrest and even feeling a loss of what never happened all result in feeling grief. Discussions will center around questions around how people experience grief, what is normal, why people avoid grief, the stages of grief, and how we cope and move to acceptance. This class will assist in understanding and accepting grief as a part of life.
