Oregon’s north coast celebrates food and fun with return to in-person Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood & Wine Festival on April 22 to 24.
Last held in person in 2019, the Astoria Warrenton Crab, Seafood and Wine Festival, sponsored by Fred Meyer, is back this April 22 to 24, at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. The Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce coordinates this event which, held annually since 1982, features around 175 vendors of hand-crafted arts, coastal cuisine, Oregon wine and local brews. The festival is a major fundraiser for not only the AWACC, but dozens of community organizations that participate in the event, as well as hundreds of small businesses from our vendors and performers to hotels, restaurants and shops in the region.
“The virtual events in recent years were as fun as we could make them with an online expo, small pop-up events like the Astoria Clowns Drive-up and the inaugural Festival Feast Dining Passport that helped connect festival patrons with local restaurants,” said AWACC Executive Director David Reid. “However, we are excited to be planning to return to the festival format we have come to love and be among our friends – vendors, volunteers and attendees alike.”
Planning in-person events is still exceptionally tricky and the AWACC is working with event vendors and contractors to ensure the event will be a safe and healthy place for all involved. Vendor applications opened in early February. Attendees will be able to purchase tickets in advance online, beginning April 1st. More detailed information about attending or volunteering at the festival will be shared later this spring.
