About the Show: Little Voice is a sometimes grim, often hilarious fairy tale set in an English town in the eighties. It's the story of a soft-spoken young woman who, after her father's death, spends most of her time in her room listening to his collection of old records of famous female singers. Sometimes, she sings along. One night, dear lascivious mum drags home Ray Say, a talent promoter. He overhears LV singing faultless imitations of divas upstairs and sees a meal ticket. After considerable struggle, he manages to lure LV to a nightclub where shy LV sings, but only when the lights are out. More struggle and more singing ensue. Subplots play out. And in the end, LV finds her own glorious voice.
