Birds of a Feather by Marc Acito to hit The Ten Fifteen Stage this June
First produced in 2011, Birds of a Feather was the winner of the 2012 Helen Hayes Award for Best New Play. Our production, directed by Ann Bronson, features both newcomers and familiar faces. There will be six performances running between June 17th and June 25th. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.thetenfifteentheater.com.
About the show: Birds of a Feather recounts the story of Roy and Silo, the two Central Park Zoo chinstrap penguins who partnered, adopted an egg, hatched and raised a chick together. Roy and Silo are no strangers to the spotlight. In 2005, they were the subject of a widely contested children's book, And Tango Makes Three, by Peter Parnell and Justin Richardson. The book, temporarily pulled from school bookshelves in Loudoun County, became one of the most banned books in the US.
Featuring: Brittania Williams - Paula Zahn Richard Bowman - Roy/Pale Male Preston C. Roper - Silo Katherine Lacaze - Lola/Chastity Darren Hull - Richard Cohen/Birder Cameron Lira - Zookeeper
