Finding Funding for Artists and Art Organizations
Presented by: Arts Council of Clatsop County Finding Funding for Artists and Arts Organizations is an empowering workshop designed to demystify the grant process for creatives and small arts nonprofits. Participants will learn how to identify funding needs, locate local and statewide opportunities, prepare competitive applications, and navigate reporting requirements. The session includes real examples, practical tips, and guidance on how to build sustainable funding pathways. This workshop is led by Jessamyn Grace West, founder and Executive Director of the Astoria Arts and Movement Center and a longtime arts advocate on Oregon’s North Coast. Jessamyn recently completed the City of Astoria’s Arts and Culture Strategic Direction Report, a comprehensive, community-informed plan for strengthening local arts infrastructure. She serves on several regional boards and committees, including the Clatsop County Cultural Coalition, Oregon Community Foundation’s North Coast Leadership Council, Astoria Visual Arts, and Astoria’s Arts and Culture Committee. Her work centers on expanding access to arts and culture, supporting creative communities, and fostering collaboration across the region.
