"Library After Dark" Author Talk
The Warrenton Community Library is hosting author Cheryl Landes at "Library After Dark" on Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. Cheryl Landes lives in Vancouver, WA. She began writing for publication while studying journalism at the University of Oregon and has more than 100 bylines in newspapers and magazines, including The Seattle Times, HuffPost, and Sunset. She’s the author of The Best I Can Do: A True Story of Navigating the Complexities of Mental Illness and Homelessness; Rainbows in the Snow; and Those Wild Northwest Days, Second Edition, Beautiful America’s Idaho, and Beautiful America’s Seattle. The Best I Can Do received the Gold Book Award for Nonfiction from Literary Titan, the Silver Book Award for Nonfiction from the Nonfiction Book Awards, and honorable mention in the 2025 Books Shelf contest. Cheryl is a technical communications consultant, mental health advocate, and volunteer at an animal shelter in Portland. When she’s not writing, she enjoys photography, long walks, reading, listening to music, and hanging out with cats. Connect with Cheryl at tabbycatco.com.
