Join us as we explore boating in the age before fiberglass, 1900-1950. Portland Yacht Club historian Nancy MacGregor will talk about the history of wooden boatbuilding, the legendary boats and their builders in the greater Columbia River region. Nancy MacGregor is the Historian and Past Commodore of the Portland Yacht Club, which was founded in 1908. She has been involved with researching and archiving Portland Yacht Club?s history since 2005, when she first served on the club?s Centennial Committee. MacGregor has authored several articles, including pieces published in Portland Yacht Club?s Portlight monthly newsletter, Columbia River Maritime Museum?s Quarterdeck magazine, and Classic Yachting Quarterly. ?Included with Museum Admission - MEMBERS are FREE!
