Chamber members and members of the public may submit event information for inclusion on the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce’s online community calendar, if that event is open to the general public, occurs within/near to the Astoria and Warrenton area and abides by our Community Event Calendar Policy. Shop Plaid 2025
Shop Plaid is a local event that offers a laid-back alternative to Black Friday. Connect with family and friends and support your local community. Explore downtown Astoria and discover all our downtown businesses have to offer.
We encourage you to wear plaid on Plaid Friday, Nov. 28, to show solidarity with local businesses and community.
Why Plaid? It represents weaving the individual threads of small businesses together with community.
How Does Shop Plaid Work?
Shoppers who visit downtown Astoria November 21st through the 28th are encouraged to use Shop Plaid Punch Cards at participating shops. One punch for one purchase. Three punches will get you a Shop Plaid tote bag. Five punches will enter you into the raffle! On November 29th, the raffle winner will be announced by Santa Claus during the ADHDA's Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony (happening at the Liberty Theatre on 12th Street November 29th 5-6pm sponsored by Pacific Power).
