Chamber members and members of the public may submit event information for inclusion on the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce’s online community calendar, if that event is open to the general public, occurs within/near to the Astoria and Warrenton area and abides by our Community Event Calendar Policy. Talking Tombstones
The Clatsop County Historical Society, with sponsorship from Vancouver Granite Works, Astoria, is excited to once again present “Talking Tombstones” held on the last Sunday of October from 1:00 pm until dusk. The location is to be announced two weeks prior to the event
Former citizens are expected to return from the great beyond for a graveside chat with any and all willing to visit their tombstone.
This is a FREE event, however donations are welcome. Visitors should plan to arrive no later than 3:00 p.m. as the deceased begin to fade from view as the darkness of night draws near.
