"The Medium" by Gian Carlo Menottie
Just in time for the Halloween season, Cascadia Chamber Opera welcomes Ping & Woof Opera to Astoria for a performance of Gian Carlo Menotti’s gripping supernatural opera The Medium on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Part psychological drama, part ghost story, The Medium follows Madame Flora, a fraudulent spiritual medium whose staged séances take a terrifying turn when she experiences something she cannot explain. What begins as deception quickly becomes a story of fear, doubt, guilt, and the unsettling question at the heart of every good ghost story: what if something really is there?
