?Students will learn how to carve a woodblock and make prints from their carving. Students will spend the first and second evenings laying out their design and learning the basics of carving with Shina plywood. The class?s third evening will be focused on printmaking from the students? woodblocks. Skill level: Beginner. No experience with hand tools necessary. All tools will be available for use. Students are welcome to bring their own tools if desired. Tools will include chisels, brayers, barrens, ink, paper, newsprint and Shina plywood.
