Status:   Full Time
Location:   Astoria, OR - some regional travel
Wage:   $20-$27 Hourly

Summary
The IT Support Technician oversees reactive support of client networks. IT Support Technician works independently and collaboratively; they interact daily with clients, junior team-members, management, and specialized or proprietary software vendors.
Responsibilities
  • Follow established processes and procedures to perform daily job functions.
  • Solve a variety of partially defined technical problems with minimal supervision.
  • Directly support clients remotely, in person, via phone or email.
  • Keep abreast of technical knowledge needed to support new and upgraded equipment, software, and systems.
  • Identify hardware and software upgrades or replacement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field and Four (4) years of IT experience in a professional work environment primarily with Servers and Network systems
A combination of education and experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the IT Support Technician may be considered in meeting the qualifications.
The preferred candidate will have:
  • Understanding of Enterprise Email (Office 365), Workstations, Data Center Technologies, Firewalls and Routers and Troubleshooting
  • Acceptable Certifications: MCSE, MCITP, MCP, CCNA/CCDA/CCNP, Network+, Security+, VCP or other Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Veeam, Sophos certifications
  • Experience using ConnectWise Suite
Other Requirements
  • Approximately 25 percent regional travel
  • A valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Flexibility of schedule to meet the global needs of the business
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation
  • Proficient use of a multi-line phone system

Work Environment
  • All Employees are assigned a desk within a shared workroom, with standard office equipment. A conference room with kitchenette is available for employee use. Workbench and Storage are on another floor.
  • On-site appointments at Client offices range from standard business offices to private residence and outdoor environments.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to bend, climb ladders, and kneel to reach equipment.
  • Must be able to carry heavy electronic equipment and tools.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to traverse stairs while carrying electronic equipment and tools.
