New and used books, miscellaneous sidelines, and art. We also serve coffee and espresso. Owner Charlie Holboke has been selling books since 1978! He originally operated in Seaside under the name Turnaround Books from 1978-1999, but Godfather's has been in Astoria since 1993, having recently celebrated it's 20th birthday in 2013!

Fun fact: Charlie was the very first to serve espresso in Seaside in 1986!

If the mood suits you, sit down, order a fresh brewed house coffee or espresso and enjoy our quirky atmosphere and wi-fi--or maybe even a bit of conversation with the locals!

We are very selective about the used books we buy, so please call ahead or e-mail to check with us before bringing a big box in!! Generally we are only interested in rare books, quality modern 1st editions, vintage mystery paperbacks, and westerns (ESP Louis L'Amour) in good condition.
