About Us

The mission of the Lower Columbia Q Center is to be a safe and welcoming resource and support service to the LGBTQIA+ community, friends, families and allies in the Lower Columbia Region.

Connecting with LGBTQIA+ people can be difficult in a rural setting. Finding comfort in being your unedited self can be challenging when you don’t know how people will respond. At the LCQC a safe place has been created where one can talk openly without fear of being treated differently. Here you will find COMMUNITY!

There are many misunderstandings around the LGBTQIA+ community. It is very important to the LCQC that we provide education to the Lower Columbia Region. Trained volunteers are available to educate individuals, schools, social service agencies, businesses, mental health and medical health professionals about LGBTQIA+ needs, terminology and how to create safe spaces.
