The Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond, Washington is Pacific County's most visited tourist attractions open daily. Enjoy one of the finest collections of 19th century horse drawn vehicles in the country. Every year, thousands upon thousands of visitors make the Northwest Carriage Museum a “must see” destination stop while visiting the Pacific Northwest. Visitors are pleasantly surprised to find such a world class museum in the quaint town of Raymond.
The Northwest Carriage Museum currently has 62 vehicles on display and thousands of period artifacts/clothing. Come see elegant carriages, buggies, a stagecoach, hand carved hearses, a chuck wagon, several “movie” carriages including Belle Watling’s from “Gone with the Wind” and many others from the 1800’s.
Looking for something fun for the kids? The museum includes a user friendly one room schoolhouse, a wagon for pictures. You will love driving our mechanical horse! Visitors will also enjoy our educational wheelwright/blacksmith display.
The Northwest Carriage Museum is located at the junction of Hwy. 101 and State Route 6 in Raymond, Washington. Within walking distance are restaurants and shopping opportunities. Bring your walking shoes or bikes and hike/ride the Willapa Trails pathway to South Bend. Bring your kayak and put in at the city dock right next to our building.
The Northwest Carriage Museum is open year round from 10am to 4pm, offers a unique gift shop and visitor information. Call ahead to arrange group tour!
