Wauna Credit Union - Astoria

About Us

Wauna Credit Union was chartered in 1967 by a group of local residents who were employees of the Crown Zellerbach Paper Company (now Georgia Pacific) located in Wauna, Oregon. As the popularity of our Credit Union grew, nearby residents began requesting membership, too. This prompted our volunteer board of directors to apply to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a federal government agency overseeing the credit union industry, to expand our field of membership. Over the years, a number of expansions were approved. Today, Wauna Credit Union is authorized to serve all the residents and businesses in Clatsop County, Columbia County, Western Washington County (Oregon), and Pacific County in Washington.
