Want to learn more about wildlife local to the Columbia River and the Oregon Coast? Join our Museum Educator, Maddy, for a nature walk along the waterfront starting at the Museum’s Plaza at 17th Street and turning around at Mill Pond. Practice your wildlife identification skills, learn fun facts about common species, and experience maritime history and culture from a new viewpoint. Feel free to bring binoculars and/or a wildlife guidebook or application (such as Merlin Bird ID or iNaturalist). Wear comfortable shoes and come prepared for whatever weather Astoria decides to throw at us! We will have some loaner binoculars available for use during the walk. Conditions: 1 mile on flat paved riverwalk Registration required
