About Us
We are a very active and award winning Knights of Columbus council celebrating106 years of Columbianism on the Columbia River in historic Astoria Oregon, just 75 miles Northwest of Portland, Oregon. If you are visiting in this area and are a Knight, please stop in and attend our monthly council meeting at 7:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. Our meetings are held in our chambers in the St. Mary, Star of the Sea School on the corner of Grand Ave. and 14th. Street, adjacent to the St. Mary, Star of the Sea Church.
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. Founded by Father Michael J. McGivney in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1882, it was named in honor of the mariner Christopher Columbus.
